When someone asks me what sort of music I play I usually say folk music – but I am not a traditional folky (although a lot of mates are).
I like to think I’m a song writer – I’ve been writing songs since I was 15. I write funny songs and serious songs – all depending on what mood I’m in.
These days I perform in folk clubs – mainly around the Midlands area, but I do venture outside my comfort zone occasionally.
To give you an idea of what I do check videos page.
My main motivation these days is to help raise money for charity – my favourite being “Yes To Live”, a charity supporting families who have been affected by cancer. Check them out here.
As well as folk clubs, I play in folk festivals, charity gigs, garden and house parties, and various other charity events.
I’ve also done a fair bit of MC’ing in my time and I also run Heathcote Studios where I record singer songwriters in a live gig environment. I have also recorded hundreds of high quality Guided Meditations, Visualisations, Mindfulness and Healing voice-overs – and also a few audio books and I enjoy writing my blogs.
I hope you like my music!
